The video received over 36 million views and quickly became a global meme. Instead of getting upset, Vaseline's official account leaned into the joke: they temporarily changed their profile picture and name to "Baseline," posted a funny statement, and even appointed the influencer as the "CEO of Baseline." Because the name happens to be "Base + line," the narrative fits Base chain perfectly. On top of that, Cobie directly tagged Base lead Jesse Pollak in the original thread.
