Beyond the obvious benefits to our industry, like onboarding and ease of use, social trading apps are great for overall EV cuz they add fame to any pair. It used to be CATE/SOL, now it's CATE/SOL/FAME, which naturally means fewer people are competing to extract pure capital. The current superstar is just another word for a future roundtripper. If you're not at the table, you're on the menu.
After my foray into lands afar (Solana), and my first exposure in years to trench warfare (DeFi summer was quite similar to now), some thoughts. I thought we could bring back hold culture bc, ideally, I think everyone prefers to WAGMI vs. whatever the fuck this is now, and I saw tribes forming around bags. I was wrong ab this. Holding will continue to exist in isolated pockets, but the attention span of zoomers (and millennials too these days, if we’re being honest) is at record lows. This is expert mode. Everyone has superintelligence at their disposal, especially the bad guys. Everything is bundled, especially the good shit. Everything is fast… Like unbelievably fast. The tech, the cycles…
@AgentChud fomo is amazing simply cuz it adds fame to any pair used to be cate:sol now its cate:sol:fame which means less people are competing to grab sol, by nature. the current super star is a dif word for a future roundtripper. be on the table or be in the menu.

@Anbu_HQ value to capture as an onchain manlet
The problem isn't the fees themselves. It's the huge gap between how cheap it is to create a coin and how expensive it is to trade it competitively (cost of production vs cost of speculation). In mature capitalism, competition puts pressure on those costs. Onchain trading is still early, and those pressures haven't fully taken hold. We're missing one of capitalism's most valuable forces: competitive efficiency. Funny enough, as crypto matures, average onchain fees will shrink toward zero - yet EV and ROI will diminish along with them. We need to understand the good, the bad, and the reasons behind both. And as consumers, it's our job to keep demanding for better.
@0xNairolf @resdegen @WazzCrypto I'd recommend that both of you read this article. tldr The problem isn't the fees. It's the huge gap between the cost of production and the cost of speculation. This gap doesn't exist in other capitalist industries, let alone trading, which sits at the heart of capitalism. It exists in crypto today because we're missing one of capitalism's most powerful forces: the efficiency that competition creates.

@aslater @FroinkApp @aslater i'd propose introducing holder governance over claim funds. Holders of each launched token would vote on: Whether a claim is approved and the amount released. How much is paid upfront versus vested over time. Conditions or milestones for subsequent payouts. How eligible unclaimed or unreleased funds return to the Froink ecosystem through rewards, buybacks, or development funding. solana:…
