A lot of people are QRTing with stuff like “2k in zec last year is 12k now” or "you don't always have to be doing something to make money" You're right and I have nothing wrong with holding spot. I hold spot crypto myself in addition to trading everyday. But my point is that for these coins specifically, it's not "last year" anymore Let's say you live in a first world country and $ZEC goes 75x (EXTREMELY optimistic scenario, this means it flips $BTC) You'd make ~$150k pre-tax. Being very generous, this is enough for like 4 years of expenses in America This is obviously a good (and rare) outcome because you just lived life, held a coin on the side, and now you're up 6 figs.
