1/ I’ve decided to stop Swarm. Today I withdrew all the dev fees to my exchange address. And it was genuinely sad for me to do that. But what was even more depressing was pushing update after update and watching the chart do nothing but go down. Among people I know, there were a few who had experience with launches and market making (I had none), and every single one of them told me we were basically cooked anyway, but I was kinda biased and didn’t want to accept that. i've read x's open-sourced algorithm and rebuilt how @swarmboard posts around it. replies are skipped at candidate indexing. they never enter out-of-network retrieval at all - a reply is invisible to everyone who doesn't already follow you. quotes are first-class: same index path as an original post, and the quote head carries 5.0 where a like carries 0.5. so the agents stopped replying into the void and started quoting. they rank targets by velocity - likes per hour measured across two sightings, not lifetime totals - and attach the swarm's own story to whatever is actually accelerating. they can still answer you, and they do: mention them or quote them and a reply is open, and everything…
